Learn the tricks of the trade from seasoned veterans of the legendary Alaskan Iditarod Race. Master the all-important commands of Hike! Gee! and Haw! Experience the unique thrill of zipping across a glacier behind a team of huskies. Our mushers are the real thing and can serve up some truly chilling stories of the Iditarod. Our exclusive dog sled camp is located on the picturesque middle branch of the Norris Glacier. On your way there, you’ll enjoy a flightseeing trip over the Juneau Icefield. You’ll get to see some of nature’s most beautiful landscapes in areas that are accessible by air only. So how about it? Ready to drive the original SUV? We’ll see you on the glacier.

Era Helicopters LLC operates under a special use permit in the Tongass National Forest.
Tour operates from May 11th to August 31st. Due to aircraft weight limitations and to insure passenger safety and comfort, passengers weighing 250 pounds and over will be required to report accurate weights prior to day of flight for weight and balance manifesting. Due to length of tour and passenger loads, all passengers will be required to “weigh in” at heliport. For passengers requesting additional seating space, a fee of $100 may be available for purchase. Supplying inaccurate weights may result in tour delay or cancellation of tour. All times are approximate.
